Michael Caruso lead home Nissan’s attack at the Australian Grand Prix all weekend with a good string of race results after qualifying his Altima in 8th place on Thursday.
Caruso finished the event’s final race in 5th position to cap off a weekend of consistent progress. After making a position at the rolling start, Caruso survived the chaos as the entire field provided much needed entertainment for the crowds at Albert Park. For the current series points leader, he leaves the event with confidence knowing he has the ability to genuinely compete at the next round of the Championship.
“It wasn’t a bad race today today; we jumped up a few spots. We tried a few things to the car and it was a good learning curve. It wasn’t as good as it was the day before, but the great thing about this event is that we had the opportunity to try some things. So to do that and race up the front is great preparation as we head to Tasmania.”
