Michael Caruso has claimed a competitive Top 10 finish today at the Adelaide 500, which concluded on Sunday afternoon with a 78 lap race around the East Parklands circuit.
Caruso featured in the morning’s Top 10 Shootout, with Caruso’s #23 Drive Racing Altima leading home the Nissan squad in ninth position at the end of the day.
Michael lining up 9th on the grid, following a clean and tidy lap in the shootout. The #23 Drive Racing entry made a clean getaway and entered the pits on lap 16 for his first scheduled stop. Overcoming traffic and managing his tyres, Caruso finished the race as the leading Nissan inside the Top 10. The result is a positive sign for the #23 Drive Racing entry heading into the next round at Albert Park, which traditionally had been kind to him.

“We started where we finished, but of course it’s never as straightforward as that. A Top 10 is nice, but for myself and the team, we expect to be further up the field. So we’ll go back work on things to come back stronger at the Australian Grand Prix. The race went to plan in terms of strategy and the driving side of things. The new car appears to be a fan favourite too. The Drive.com.au teal is really growing on me. So we just need to make the car as fast as it looks.”
